Stillwater Products, Inc. has been in business of meeting the needs of the building products industry for over 16 years. The corporation was originally started by Elton Steins, who is both a former general building contractor as well as a former window retailer. The business was originally started in Redding, California, and was relocated to Brevard, North Carolina in 1996.

    When the business first started, word of the high quality products still featured in the DecoRoof Collection today spread quickly throughout the country, mostly through wholesale window distributors and various window manufacturers. Several major window manufacturers began using our copper roofs for bay and bow window displays in regional and national trade and builder shows, and people began asking for them. No other company before or since has been able to ship pre-fabricated copper bay and bow window roofs virtually anywhere. Because of that fact, within a few years, a distribution network of over 400 dealers and distributors was established across the nation.

    Beginning in the early 1990's, we began receiving inquiries regarding exporting our products. As a result, some very good relationships have been established with various building products exporters around the country, as well as several foreign companies. Now DecoRoof products can be found not only across the entire U.S., but also in Canada, Mexico, Japan, Korea, United Kingdom, Belize, Panama, China, and Brazil.

    Over the years our customers have asked us to build, provide or fabricate a myriad of custom items that were not generally in the scope of our normal product line. Because of this, we felt that we should strive to be a single source supplier of many different products for our customers, outside of our core product line. As a result, we have started to expand our business to include other specialty products developed by us, as well as including specialty building products generally not available through normal distribution channels. And, as an additional service, if we cannot provide or fabricate a needed item for our customer, we are willing to research the availability of items and at least forward that information to the customer.
